Ben is a filmmaker, author, and entrepreneur. He is the grandson of WWII’s General George S. Patton, Jr. and son of Major General George S.Patton, a highly decorated veteran of the Vietnam and Korea conflicts.
Ben is founder and Executive Director of the Patton Veterans Project (PVP), which uses collaborative filmmaking to help veterans coping with posttraumatic stress to reduce isolation, build community, and through community screenings educate the public about the challenges facing veterans and military families today. Since 2011, PVP has held well over 300 film workshops helping 1500+ at-risk veterans at military bases, VA hospitals, colleges and universities, across the US and abroad make some 400 short films, expressing service-related challenges. In 2022, PVP published a joint-VA clinical study demonstrating the program’s efficacy.
The Patton family, in partnership with WC Wealth Management, is invested in over 11,000 aging barrels of straight Kentucky Bourbon and Rye whiskey.
Ben has been around the military his entire life and moved a dozen times with his family as a kid, including three times to Germany. He graduated from Georgetown in International Affairs and Spanish, and earned his MA in Developmental Psychology at Columbia University.
Ben is contributing writer to The Hill, The Huffington Post and Veterans Life Magazine and has been featured on CBS This Morning, NPR, Morning Joe and Fox and Friends. In 2024. He received the Meritorious Service Award, one of the highest awards a civilian can be given by the Army. He and his family split their time between Manhattan and Garrison, New York.

Kris was previously the Global Head of Hedge Fund coverage for Deutsche Bank. Prior to leading Global Hedge Fund coverage, Kris founded and ran the Deutsche Bank Principal Distressed, Leverage Finance, Sponsor Coverage and Real Estate Finance businesses in the Asia Pacific region; he was also a member of the Asia Pac management committee. In addition to these responsibilities, Kris established and managed a $1.5 billion internal hedge fund focused on investing in non-performing assets in the Japanese and Chinese markets. Over the course of his career, Kris has held various senior Leverage Finance, High Yield and Capital Markets positions with Morgan Stanley, Bankers Trust and Drexel Burnham Lambert.

Kris holds a BA in International Economics and Japanese language, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University and an MBA from Wharton School of Business. He is a Phi Beta Kappa honors recipient and speaks fluent Japanese.
